"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good"
Seems some of those defenders of the poor are doing pretty well themselves. Lets take a look shall we?
http://www.dailykos.com/............. advertising rates start at 750.00 to a whopping 5000.00 per week......... ouch
http://atrios.blogspot.com/ ...........will let you buy some nifty tees and coffee mugs..........oooohhh
http://www.reachm.com/amstreet/ .........please click the flag and donate.........lol
http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/ ........this one is rich, advertising pages impress the readers as to how wealthy and intelligent visitors are before asking for money.......poor you say
Needless to say this is a very small sampling from the self- proclaimed members of the "Liberal Coalition" in the "Reality(not) Based Community"
They send out action alerts, have their own little code-words (I will try and decipher and post some of the good ones) but typically they spend a lot of time screaming hysterically about all sorts of interesting issues. How they are so tolerant and everyone else isn't, (one of my favorites) How they are defenders of the poor and downtrodden, (Exclude all middle eastern women except Iraqi women , somalians, Jews, Rwandans, Congolese, Sudanese and pretty much any other country where the US is not currently deployed) abortion, gay rights, feminism, capitalism (one of their favorites, the whole tax the rich thing and Bush's Corporate buddies)
just to name a few.
Now this wouldn't be surprising if they wern't all begging for money to maintain their blogs, all of which pretty much say the exact same thing.
"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good"?.......a famous Hollywood liberal comes to mind.
